Julien Tocci

Julien Tocci has a diverse work experience in the field of infrastructures, cloud engineering, and DevOps. Julien is currently serving as the Head of Infrastructures at Flowdesk since June 2023. Prior to this role, they held the same position at Flowdesk starting from September 2022. Julien also worked as an Infrastructure Lead at Flowdesk from June 2022 to September 2022. From July 2021 to September 2022, Julien was an Infrastructure/Cloud Engineer at Flowdesk, where they were responsible for building high-frequency trading and market-making infrastructure, handling large amounts of data for quant teams, and collaborating closely with the trading floor.

Before joining Flowdesk, Julien worked as a Cloud Engineer at Monaco Telecom from July 2020 to September 2021. In this role, they participated in the implementation of a private cloud for the NJJ Group using Openstack and built production K8S on top of it.

Julien also served as the Chief Technical Officer at Blocksnatch from September 2019 to November 2020, where they designed and implemented the technical stack for an exclusive blockchain solution for mobility players. Julien utilized technologies such as AWS, GCE, Hyperledger Fabric, Terraform, Django, and Express.

Additionally, Julien worked as a Cloud/DevOps Consultant at NextSourcia - Sopra Steria from December 2019 to July 2020. Julien'sresponsibilities included creating and maintaining an OKD (Openshift) cluster for a Sopra Steria customer account, optimizing platform performance, and scripting in Python for various tasks, including managing a Ceph cluster.

Before that, Julien was a Cloud/DevOps Engineer at Gfi Informatique from September 2018 to September 2019. Julien was involved in establishing a private cloud based on Openstack technology and developed a forge (software) using Python and Terraform to support Gfi projects.

Julien's early work experience includes an internship at Gemalto, where they developed a Django dashboard to gather project information, and an internship at Sopra Steria, where they collaborated with the DevOps Forge team and coded serverless Python snippets.

Julien holds an Engineer's degree with honors from Polytech Nice-Sophia, where they gained knowledge in programming languages (C/C++/Java/Python), databases, computer theory, signal processing, and communication. Julien also participated in various projects, including software development for the visually impaired and simulation of the spread of a disease.

Julien's educational background includes a preparatory class in engineering science at Polytech Nice-Sophia from September 2013 to June 2015.

Julien Tocci obtained an Engineer's degree in computer sciences from Polytech'Nice-Sophia, where they studied from 2013 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained several certifications. In April 2018, they became an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner through Amazon Web Services. Later, in May 2020, they completed the certification course "Structuring Machine Learning Projects" offered by Coursera. In June 2020, they obtained another certification in "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera.
