Jan van der Velden

Jan van der Velden has extensive work experience in various leadership and managerial roles.

Jan began their career as a Project Engineer at Flowserve Corporation in 1989 and later served as an R&D Manager and Product Manager. As the Engineering Manager, they were responsible for engineering and quality in the EMA region, where they developed standardized seal system selection programs and implemented AutoCAD and EIS.

Jan then took on the role of Director of Operations, overseeing a global repair network of 75 locations and implementing standards across all sites. Jan also served as the Director of Technical Services and Sales Director, where they successfully implemented new sales planning methods and achieved a significant increase in bookings volume.

In 2009, Jan became the Director and General Manager at Flowserve Corporation, where they had P&L responsibility for plants in Roosendaal, Dortmund, and Olomouc. Jan successfully implemented re-alignments and relocated the stock sourcing center during their tenure. Jan later served as the Vice President and General Manager of Seal Operations in the EMA region, where they were responsible for multiple plants and repair centers. Jan also acted as the General Manager for the Saudi Abahsain joint venture and played a crucial role in its reorganization.

Most recently, Jan joined Mead Johnson Nijmegen in 2020 as a Member of the Supervisory Board.

Throughout their career, Jan has demonstrated strong leadership, implemented various improvements and standards, and achieved significant accomplishments in operational excellence and business growth.

Jan van der Velden pursued their Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology from 1981 to 1988.
