Senior Computer Vision Engineer at FLOX

Maxim Chernetskiy has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Maxim started their career as a Junior Software Engineer at Krasnoyarsk State Administration in 2001, where they worked until December 2002. After that, they joined the Institute of Biophysics SB RAS and held multiple positions, including Postgraduate Student, Engineer-Programmer, and Mathematician (Engineer) from 2001 to 2011.

In 2011, Chernetskiy joined Friedrich Schiller University Jena as an Early Stage Researcher for the GIONET project, where they worked until December 2014. Maxim then moved to UCL and took on the role of Research Associate. At UCL, they were involved in various projects such as the ESA Fire CCI (Climate Change Initiative) project and the Biosphere Atmosphere Change Index (BACI) project. Chernetskiy worked as a Research Associate at UCL from December 2015 to February 2020.

In 2020, they joined Cervest as a Remote Sensing Engineer, a position they held until August 2022. Currently, Chernetskiy is working as a Senior Computer Vision Engineer at FLOX, starting from September 2022.

From 2011 to 2015, they attended Friedrich Schiller University Jena, where they earned a degree in Dr. rer. nat. in the field of Remote Sensing.

Between 1996 and 2001, they studied at Siberian Federal University, where they obtained an Engineer degree (equivalent to MEng). Their field of study during this time was Information systems, Ecology, natural resource management, and scientific studies.

Additionally, Maxim Chernetskiy obtained several certifications from DeepLearning.AI. In August and September 2022, they completed the courses "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization, and Optimization," and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning."
