Wilfred Barkhuizen

Wilfred Barkhuizen, Dr. Eng, Pr.Eng, currently serves as the Director of the Global Product Line Sampling, Preparation and Analysis at FLSmidth since October 2022. Prior to this role, Barkhuizen held various leadership positions at thyssenkrupp from February 2014 to October 2022, including CEO Mining Middle East & Africa and Vice President of Technical Sales for the region. Earlier experience includes significant roles at polysius® from January 2004 to February 2014, where responsibilities spanned from Manager Minerals to Electrical Engineering Manager, overseeing multiple business units. Barkhuizen's career began at P&H Minepro Services, where responsibilities included managing Life Cycle Management contracts and providing field service solutions. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Engineering Management and several engineering degrees from the University of Johannesburg.
