Steven Matthew Blakely has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Steven Matthew started their career in 2004 as a Telephone Technical Support Representative at Sitel, where they provided customer care and technical support for Bell South Internet customers. During their time there, they independently developed a hypertext application to streamline the user interface with tech support tools.

In 2014, Blakely joined Kimmel & Associates as a Contract Network Administrator. In this role, they developed a network for the company's new web application division, utilizing Linux as a router and implementing CSF as its firewall. Steven Matthew also worked with the existing IT department to ensure seamless services such as email and established an IPSEC VPN for remote access by the newly formed Web Development Team.

Blakely then moved on to SerialTek as an IT Engineer, starting in 2014. Steven Matthew provided systems and network support for product development engineers, focusing on reducing operational costs through various projects that involved experimentation with technologies like LEMP, LAMP, Astrix, ZFS, and others. Notable projects included building a stable VPN connection between the San Jose and Orem office and implementing DNSmasq as DNS and DHCP servers to reduce the workload on SOHO equipment.

In 2016, Blakely joined Bluehost as a Server Professional, where they offered high-quality customer care, troubleshooting, and technical support for Bluehost customers and their clients. Steven Matthew worked with a range of clients, including shared, VPS, dedicated, and reseller server platforms.

Most recently, Blakely joined Fluent Home in 2018. Steven Matthew initially worked as an Account Specialist, and later transitioned to the role of Software Engineer. As a Software Engineer, they were responsible for React Native/Expo maintenance of an internal app used by sales representatives. Steven Matthew also rebuilt the existing customer portal in React and worked on the company's help site as needed. Currently, they are involved in Ops (Help Site Accessibility), where they take existing help site articles, cleans up the code, and focuses on web accessibility while filling gaps in public content.

Steven Matthew Blakely has a Certificate in Fullstack Javascript Web Development from V School. Steven Matthew also has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Web Technologies and Networking Technology from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College. Additionally, they have certifications in CompTIA A+ and Network+ from Haywood Community College, as well as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA-I) and coursework in Healthcare Information Technology from Southwestern Community College. Prior to their higher education, they obtained a high school diploma from Collinsville High School. In addition to their formal education, they have a certification in HTML Fundamentals from SoloLearn, which they obtained in April 2020.
