Borja Alvarez

Borja Alvarez has a extensive work experience in the finance industry. Borja is currently serving as the Head of EMEA Sales at Fluent Trade Technologies since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) as a Senior Transactions Sales from February 2021 to October 2021. Borja also held the same role at Refinitiv from October 2018 to February 2021. Before that, Borja worked as a Senior Transactions Sales at Thomson Reuters from December 2017 to October 2018. Borja started their career as an FX Sales Executive at NEX in January 2017 and moved on to work at ICAP in November 2014 as an FX Sales Executive until December 2016. Borja held the position of Vice President, European Sales at Integral Development Corporation from March 2013 to September 2014. Borja also has experience in FX sales, having served as the EMEA Sales Director at FXall (a Thomson Reuters Company) from January 2012 to March 2013, and as an EMEA Sales Associate from December 2010 to December 2011. Borja also worked at Marex Spectron as an FX & Bullion Sales from March 2010 to December 2010, and at FXCM as an Institutional Sales / FXCM France Manager from February 2007 to February 2010.

Borja Alvarez has a Master's degree in Finance, Economics, and Management from EDHEC Business School, which they obtained from 2002 to 2006. Borja also has an Erasmus exchange year at Universität Trier from 2005 to 2006, where they studied Finance, Macroeconomics, and European Law. Borja has a DEUG degree in Accounting, Maths, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics from Paris-Pantheon-Assas University, which they completed from 1998 to 2002. Prior to that, they attended College-Lycee La Tour from 1991 to 1998. Borja also holds a Russian Language Certificate at A2 level from Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, which they obtained in 2019. Additionally, they have several certifications, including being a Member of the Certifying Jury for Training on Financial Market from Traderchange.com, completing the ACI Dealing Simulation Course from ACI UK Financial Markets Association, obtaining the CF30 - Customer Function certification from the Financial Conduct Authority, and passing the Selectividad examination from Colegio Español Federico Garcia Lorca Paris in 1998.
