Matthew Curran-Whitburn

Matthew Curran-Whitburn has extensive experience in the legal field, currently serving as Deputy Head of Legal at Flutter Entertainment Plc since July 2021, where roles have included Lead Commercial Counsel and Senior Commercial Counsel. Previous experience includes working at Wiggin as a Lawyer and Trainee Lawyer from September 2014 to July 2021, and several legal secondee positions at PokerStars and IFPI. An early role as a Student Ambassador for Practical Law involved developing marketing strategies to engage law students. Matthew also contributed to social initiatives, notably as Project Manager at Globis Ltd, creating the Bridge Builders Mentoring Scheme. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Cardiff University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Law – Bristol. Additionally, Matthew holds a certification as a Practitioner of Data Protection.
