Instructional Technology Specialist at Fluvanna County Government

Amy Hartwell has over two decades of experience in education and technology integration. Currently serving as the School Testing Coordinator at Carysbrook Elementary School since April 2021, and as an Instructional Technology Specialist for Fluvanna County Public Schools since 2011, Amy has significantly impacted instruction and technical proficiency across the district. Responsibilities include developing a K-12 Instructional Technology Framework, facilitating training for staff, and spearheading initiatives such as the Bring Your Own Device program. Previous roles include Testing Coordinator for a high school population and elementary educator, utilizing the International Baccalaureate philosophy to foster critical thinking and multimedia skills in students. Amy holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Mary Baldwin University.
