Nestled in the Piedmont foothills southeast of Charlottesville, Fluvanna’s agricultural past continues to be evident in its rural charm. Formed in 1777 and named for a river, Fluvanna offers much for the outdoor enthusiast. Three rivers, the James, Rivanna, & Hardware, provide fishing and paddling. The Planning and Coordination team at Fluvanna County Government is responsible for overseeing and facilitating the development and implementation of long-term plans and projects within the county. This includes managing children's services, coordinating geographic information system (GIS) data, and supporting community programs. The team ensures strategic growth, effective land use, and comprehensive community planning to enhance the quality of life for Fluvanna County residents.
