Nic Frey

Nic Frey has extensive experience in the engineering field. Nic currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at Flyer Defense LLC since May 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Deputy Director of Engineering at the same company from October 2020 to May 2021.

Before joining Flyer Defense LLC, Nic worked at General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems for over 12 years. Nic held various roles during their tenure, including Sr. Lead Vehicle Engineer, Vehicle Engineer 2, Vehicle Engineer 1, and Associate Vehicle Engineer.

Nic's career began at the University of South Florida, where they were involved in various leadership positions. Nic served as the President of the USF Chapter of Society of Automotive Engineers, overseeing the design and manufacture of purpose-built race cars. Nic also had the role of Director of the Student Government SAFE Team, where they managed a team of over 50 students providing a night-time shuttle service.

Nic Frey earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida, specializing in Automotive Engineering. Nic attended the university from 2002 to 2008.
