Andre Vermeulen

Andre Vermeulen has extensive work experience in the aviation industry, with their most recent role being Chief Operations Officer at FlySafair since February 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Airports Company South Africa, where they held various leadership positions. From July 2014 to December 2019, they served as Group Executive: Airports, overseeing the operations of nine airports in South Africa. Andre also had acting roles as Group Executive: Airports and Group Executive: Airport Operations. Before that, from April 2005 to September 2011, they were the Group Manager: Airport Operations. Additionally, they worked at Airports Company South Africa as a Manager for Maintenance and Engineering from 2001 to 2005.

Andre Vermeulen attended Menlopark High School. Following high school, they enrolled in the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, where they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1994.
