Pablo Romero has over 35 years of experience in the software engineering field. Their career began in 1986 as a freelance software developer. In 1994, they became a Systems Analyst at Scanntech. Two years later, in 1996, they moved to the Intendencia de Montevideo as a Systems Analyst, where they were responsible for software development with Oracle Developer Suite. In 1998, they joined KPMG Uruguay as an IT Advisory Senior Manager, and was later promoted to IT Advisory Manager and Information Risk Management Supervisor. In 2000, they took on a role as a Docente at Universidad ORT Uruguay. In 2021, they began working as a Software Engineer at BairesDev and Rootstrap. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Flywheel Software.
Pablo Romero began their educational journey in 1983 when they attended Lycée Français Jules Supervielle de Montevideo, where they earned a Bachiller in Científico, opción Ingeniería in 1988. From 1989 to 1995, they attended Universidad de la República and earned an Ingeniero in Ingeniería en Computación. Pablo then attended Universidad ORT Uruguay from 1990 to 1993 and earned an Analista de Sistemas in Ingeniería en Computación. In 2009, they earned a PMP from the Project Management Institute in Project Management. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Project Management Aptitude from TestDome in 2020, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2004, and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in 2001.
