Barton Black

Barton Black has extensive work experience in the banking and risk management industry. Barton currently holds the position of President at F&M Bank, where they have been serving since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Operating Officer at the same bank from March 2019 to May 2023. Before joining F&M Bank, Barton was a Managing Director at Strategic Risk Associates from August 2012 to February 2019. Barton also had significant roles at Capital One/Hibernia National Bank, where they served as the VP Director of Bank Operations - Vendor Management from November 2007 to March 2012, VP Director of Bank IT - Debit & ATM Operations from March 2003 to November 2007, and VP Director of Bank IT - Finance & Program Management from August 1997 to November 2007. Barton began their career at Deloitte as a Senior Auditor, where they worked from August 1993 to August 1997.

Barton Black attended Louisiana State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from the Graduate School of Payments & Operations at BAI in June 2007, Certified Public Accountant certification from Member AICPA and VSCPA, and a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
