Holly Thorne

Holly Thorne has a diverse work experience starting in 2003 as a staff writer and account manager at The Daily News-Record. Holly then worked as a communications and fundraising intern at the Alzheimer's Association of America in 2007. Holly also had a role as a legal assistant in the office of the president at Bridgewater College and as a communications specialist at the Motor Trade Association of SA/NT. In 2010, Holly worked as a curriculum design specialist and event planner at James Madison University. Holly later became a business manager at Office Memo Press in 2009. Currently, they are the director of marketing and senior vice president at F&M Bank, where they oversee marketing, messaging, and public relations efforts. Their contributions have led to consecutive years of record earnings and a strong brand presence.

Holly Thorne has a diverse educational background. Holly obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University, where they studied from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Communications and Public Relations at Bridgewater College from 2003 to 2007.

In 2016, Holly attended the ABA Bank Marketing School, specializing in the School of Bank Marketing. Holly also completed the SHRM People Manager Qualification (PMQ) program in 2020. Additionally, they pursued a Program Certificate in Banking & Finance from the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management from 2019 to 2021.

Holly has acquired several certifications to enhance their skill set. Holly is a Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) from the Digital Marketing Institute, achieved in September 2022. Holly also holds the RYT 200 (Registered Yoga Teacher) certification from Yoga Alliance, earned in May 2022. Furthermore, they obtained the People Manager Qualification (PMQ) from SHRM in December 2020.
