Jacco Knotnerus

Jacco Knotnerus has a diverse work experience primarily in the financial sector. Their most recent position is as the Director of Credit & Special Operations at FMO - Dutch Development Bank, where they are responsible for credit risk management and financial and ESG restructuring. Prior to this, they held various roles at FMO, including Manager and Interim Manager. Jacco also worked as an Associate Partner at Steward Redqueen, where they provided impact investment advisory services. Jacco has a history of working at FMO in different roles, such as Director Corporate Strategy, Head of Risk Service Centre, and Director of Credit Risk. Jacco has also held positions at NFX, where they were the Managing Director, and The World Bank, where they worked as an Assistant to the Dutch Executive Director. Jacco started their career at the Ministry of Finance as a Senior Policy Advisor.

Jacco Knotnerus completed their VWO degree at Montessori Lyceum Amsterdam from 1980 to 1986. Jacco then attended the University of Amsterdam from 1986 to 1992, where they obtained a Master's degree in International Finance and Economics. In 1993, Jacco attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for a brief period to study International Trade Economics. Finally, in 2012, they attended the International Institute of Finance to participate in the Executive Program on Risk Management.
