Mats Elofsson

Mats Elofsson currently serves as FMV CIO and Director of the IT Department at Försvarets materielverk, a position held since October 2015, also holding the titles of Deputy Director Naval Division and Head of Naval Acquisition and Logistics. Prior experience includes roles at FMV from January 1995 to December 2013, where Mats was Head of the Surface Ships Department and Project Manager for projects including the Visby class Corvettes and Gothenburg class Corvettes. Mats began an early career as an Officer in the Swedish Armed Forces from June 1988 to September 1997. Educational qualifications include a Session Européenne des Responsables d’Armement from Institut des hautes études de défense nationale in 2013, an MBA from Linköping University in 2007, and a degree from Försvarshögskolan - Swedish Defence University in 1994, among others.
