Brian Petz, P. Eng has a diverse range of work experience. Brian is currently working as a Sr Mechanical Engineer at Focal Systems, where they contribute to the development of AI-powered systems for optimizing brick and mortar retail. Prior to this, Brian worked as an Adjunct Professor at Sheridan College, where they mentored and taught students in various subjects related to Mechanical Design and Product Development. Brian also served as a Lead Product Development Engineer at Petal, LLC, where they played a key role in designing and developing the world's first disposal freezer. Additionally, Brian has experience as a Lecturer at Ryerson University, teaching courses on advanced aerospace manufacturing and engineering design. Brian has also worked as a Continuing Education Instructor at Ryerson University's G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education, and as a Designer/Analyst at Pratt & Whitney Canada. Brian's work experience demonstrates their expertise in engineering, teaching, and product development.

Brian Petz, P. Eng has a strong educational background in aerospace engineering. Brian completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering at Ryerson University from 2004 to 2008. Following their bachelor's degree, they pursued a higher level of education and obtained a Masters of Applied Science in Aerospace Manufacturing and Robotics from Ryerson University from 2008 to 2011.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Brian Petz has also earned several certifications. In July 2019, they completed the "AutoCAD 2019 Essential Training" and "Lean Six Sigma Foundations" courses from Lynda.com. Furthermore, in January 2015, they obtained a Certificate in Project Management from the PMI Southern Ontario Chapter through the University of Toronto Continuing Education. Lastly, they obtained their P. Eng License from the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) in January 2015, demonstrating their professional accreditation in the field.
