Kiran Athota

President & CEO at FocalPoint Education

Kiran Athota has a long history of experience in the technology industry. Starting in 1996, they were the Director of Technology at Interactive Monitoring Systems. In 1997, they were the Co-Founder and CTO of KAT Solutions, as well as the Lead Systems Architect at Delta Air Lines. In 1999, they were the Chief Architect of MetalSpectrum, a B2B digital marketplace. Kiran then moved to Alcoa in 2000 as a Senior Enterprise Architect, and also founded Intellimatch Software, a startup focused on algorithmic resume matching and data analytics. In 2001, they became the CTO and Chief Architect at CareCentric, and in 2010, they founded Audit360, a startup focused on Enterprise Mobile Auditing Platform. Finally, in 2013, they became the President and CEO of FocalPointK12, enabling a scientific approach to improve student academic performance.

Kiran Athota has a diverse educational background. Kiran obtained a Masters in Computer Science from The University of Akron between 1992 and 1994. Prior to that, they obtained a BS in Engineering from National Institute of Technology Warangal between 1988 and 1992. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including a FocalPoint Blockchain Test from FocalPoint Education in February 2022, a Six Sigma Green Belt from ASQ in October 2011, a Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in February 2011, a Certified PMP from Project Management Institute in September 2010, a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer from Microsoft in December 2002, and a Sun Certified Java Architect from Sun Microsystems in October 1999.
