Hans Schmidt has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Hans began their career as an Environmental Awareness Education Volunteer at the Peace Corps from February 1995 to May 1997. During this time, they supported environmental awareness education in schools and promoted environmental conservation practices at the community level. Hans then joined Baker Donelson in August 2005 as a Litigation Attorney. Hans represented clients in various business litigation matters, such as contractual disputes, financial litigation, and employment discrimination claims. In July 2013, Hans transitioned to VF Imagewear as Counsel, a role they held until August 2019. Thereafter, they joined Focus Brands LLC, initially as a Corporate Counsel-IP & Licensing from September 2019 to April 2021. Subsequently, they became the Senior Corporate Counsel-IP & Licensing until October 2023. Currently, Hans serves as the Vice President & Associate General Counsel at Focus Brands LLC.

Hans Schmidt's education history includes a BA in Economics and Environmental Studies from Eckerd College and a JD in Law from Samford University.
