Hien Nguyen

Head of Solutions at Focus HQ

Hien Nguyen has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. From 1997 to 2004, Hien worked at IBM, starting as an Operations Manager and Business Development Manager and later taking on roles as a Client Services Manager and Sales Lead in the Public Sector AP. From 2004 to 2006, Hien served as a Project Director at IBM, followed by a role as a Sales Lead until 2008. From 2008 to 2010, Hien worked as a Program Manager, providing Application Maintenance and Support services for a large Mobile Telco in Malaysia, managing a portfolio of IT professionals and applications. Hien returned to IBM in 2010 as a Program Manager, responsible for Go-to-Market initiatives and operational management of real-time charging systems. In 2012, Hien became the Joint PMO Head for the IT Transformation Program at IBM and a Program Manager from 2014 to 2015. In 2016, Hien served as a Service Delivery Manager at IBM. In 2017, Hien joined AusNet Services as a Program Manager, where they successfully established a new operating model for the central program governance body. From 2019 to 2021, Hien worked at Focus HQ as the Head of Implementation and Support. Currently, Hien holds the position of Head of Solutions at Focus HQ, where they provide an integrated PPM platform for project management excellence and business benefit outcomes.

Hien Nguyen completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Adelaide from 1986 to 1989. Later on, Hien pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Mt Eliza Business School. Additionally, Hien also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Graduate Certificate in Telecommunications from the University of Adelaide. The exact years of completion for the latter two degrees are not provided.
