Allan Will has a long and varied career in the medical field. Allan began their career in 1986 as the Chief Executive Officer of Devices for Vascular Intervention (Eli Lilly & Co.). In 1994, they became the Chief Executive Officer of both Redwood Interventional and AneuRx (Medtronic). In 1998, they founded The Foundry, LLC and served as Chairman of the Board, CEO, and Founder. In 2002, they founded Split Rock Partners and served as Managing Director. From 2010 to 2014, they served as Chairman of the Board for Ardian, Inc. (Medtronic), SetPoint Medical, and EBR Systems, Inc. In 2011, they were Executive Chairman (previously CEO) of EBR Systems, Inc. Finally, from 2012 to 2014, they served as Chairman of the Board of Fractyl and Director of Fogarty Institute for Innovation.

Allan Will completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Zoology/Biology at the University of Maryland between 1973 and 1976. Allan then attended Washington and Lee University between 1972 and 1973, but did not receive a degree. In 1980, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
