Bernie Andreas

Bernie Andreas has worked in the engineering and research and development fields since 1987. Bernie began their career as an R&D Engineer at Devices for Vascular Intervention (Guidant). In 1992, they became an R&D Manager at Innerdyne and then an R&D Director at Perclose/Abbott Vascular in 1993. In 2000, they were Engineering Director of R&D at The Foundry Inc. and then VP of R&D and Innovation and Concept Development at XTENT, Inc. in 2002. From 2009 to 2014, they were Director of R&D at Acclarent and then Vice President, Engineering at Chrono Therapeutics from 2017 to 2019. In 2019, they became an Independent Consultant at Andreas Consulting and in 2020 they became an Engineer in Residence at Fogarty Innovation where they research medical technologies to advance human health worldwide.

Bernie Andreas completed a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of California, Davis between 1984 and 1987.
