Mikl Kurkov

Mikl Kurkov has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering, with a focus on Erlang development. Mikl began their career at A1 (alt1.ru) in 2007 as an Erlang developer. Mikl then worked as an Erlang consultant for various companies, including Moodbox LLC in 2008 and Triumph LLC in 2009. At Triumph LLC, they provided expertise in designing web applications using Erlang and assisted with choosing technologies and developing infrastructure.

In 2008, Mikl worked as a freelance Erlang developer for a network of lottery automats project. Here, they designed and developed the full software stack, integrating it with special hardware and implementing encryption and integrity control for storing sensitive data. Mikl continued their freelance work as an Erlang consultant at Hiteco LLC in 2008, where they played a lead role in designing and developing a game engine for an online gaming platform. Mikl also implemented an Oracle DB native adapter for Erlang.

From 2010 to 2015, Mikl worked at Credberry LLC (credberry.ru) as both a Backend Developer and CTO. In these roles, they managed and controlled the technical aspects of the P2P credit service. Mikl designed and developed key components such as the internal credit accounting system and integrations with third-party systems. Mikl also implemented a system for gathering and storing social graph data.

In 2015, Mikl joined both Kato.im and Sameroom.io as a Senior Software Engineer. At Kato.im, they worked until August of that year, while at Sameroom.io, they continued until July 2020. Both roles involved developing software and utilizing their expertise in Erlang.

Most recently, in 2020, Mikl became the Chief Technology Officer at Fogbender Software, where they currently hold this position.

From 1992 to 1997, Mikl Kurkov attended the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics (MTUCI), where they obtained a degree in Engineering with a specialization in Communication, Broadcasting, and Television.
