Gromek Smolen

Gromoslaw (Gromek) Smolen serves as the VP and Head of Biology at Foghorn Therapeutics Inc. since July 2023. Previously, Gromek held the position of VP and Head of Oncology at Celsius Therapeutics from May 2018 to July 2023, and earlier roles at Agios Pharmaceuticals included Director, Biology, Associate Director, Biology, and Senior Scientist, Biology from September 2010 to May 2018. Gromek's career began at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, where Gromek was an Instructor in Medicine and a Postdoctoral Fellow from 2002 to 2010. Gromek earned a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The Johns Hopkins University (1996-2002) and a BS in Biology from Concord University (1993-1996).
