Beth Emelson

Beth Emelson is an accomplished theater professional with extensive experience in producing and programming. As the Director of Producing at Folger Shakespeare Library since January 2005, Beth oversees multiple creative seasons, including Folger Theatre, Folger Music, and Folger Poetry, managing the production process from budgeting to performance. Prior experience includes serving as the Associate Director of Programming at Folger Shakespeare Library, where Beth played a key role in strategic planning and public engagement. Earlier roles include Producing Director at Atlantic Theater Company and Classic Stage Company, where Beth was instrumental in producing notable works such as "WRITER’S BLOCK" and "WAITING FOR GODOT." Beth holds a Master’s degree in Arts Administration from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree in Theater from PennWest California.
