Follow the Money
Jabir Yahya is an experienced advocate and leader with a strong background in community development and education. Currently serving as a member of SDGs Thursday and a girl child education champion at Connected Development since January 2021, Jabir has also been actively involved as a community reporter with Follow the Money since January 2020. Additionally, Jabir participated in the Community Organizing Institute program at Yiaga Africa in May 2023 and served as a Power of 18 champion from June 2022 to March 2023. Previous roles include Democracy Reform Fellow at Gidan Yanci and Director of Vocational Skills and Entrepreneurship Development at Women and Youth Initiative for Moral Awareness. Jabir holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Maiduguri, completed in 2020.
