PHD Student at Fondation MAScIR

Samira ES-SAHLY is currently a PhD student at MAScIR - Moroccan Foundation for Advanced Science, Innovation and Research, focusing on the development of a sorting prototype to pre-concentrate low-grade mineral resources since February 2021. Previously, Samira completed a final project at OCP SA, where the planning of a ten-year phosphate stripping phase was conducted using AutoCAD for efficient stripping scenarios. In July 2019, an engineering internship was undertaken at Groupe Managem, optimizing fresh water usage in silver recovery through water balance assessments and recycling solutions. Additionally, an observational internship was completed at OCP SA in 2018, focused on the preparation of geological mapping. Samira holds a PhD in Mining Industry and Artificial Intelligence from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Rabat, expected to complete in July 2024, and a diploma in minerals engineering from Mohammadia School of Engineers obtained in 2020.
