Katarina Coolens

Katarina Coolens is a PhD researcher at Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek - Vlaanderen (FWO) since November 2020, focusing on fundamental research. Prior experience includes work as a research student at the Laboratory of Medical and Molecular Oncology, where a project involved the characterization of a novel cell population in the pancreas, as well as various research projects in 2019, such as investigating autoallergy in atopic dermatitis and identifying markers for liver fibrosis. Katarina holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, earned in 2020, and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same institution, completed in 2018.
