Marek Piprek is currently a PhD fellow in Strategic Basic (SB) research at Research Foundation Flanders - FWO since October 2023 and an MD PhD candidate at VIB since September 2022. Prior experience includes a research fellowship at the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP) in April 2022, funded by the Ernst Mach Grant, and a postgraduate internship as a medical doctor at The Order Bonifraters Hospital in Krakow from April 2021 to March 2022. Additional experience includes a research fellowship at the Laboratory of Angiogenesis and Vascular Metabolism at VIB, and various internships in the Thoracic Surgery Department at Krakowski Szpital Specjalistyczny im. Jana Pawła II and UZ Leuven. Marek holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Gdański Uniwersytet Medyczny, completed in 2020.
