Mauro Callens

Mauro Callens is an experienced professional with a strong background in policy and research infrastructure. Currently serving as an Advisor for the Einstein Telescope at Research Foundation Flanders - FWO and as a Policy Officer for Research Infrastructures at the Departement Economie, Wetenschap en Innovatie (EWI), Mauro brings valuable expertise from previous roles, including Policy Officer at the Vertretung von Flandern in Deutschland and Provincial Contact Point for the European Fund for Regional Development at both the Provincie West-Vlaanderen and EFRO Vlaanderen. Early career experience includes consulting for the banking sector at Axis Group and leadership roles in hospitality. Mauro holds a Master's degree in European Law School (Cum Laude) and a Bachelor's degree from Maastricht University, along with a secondary education diploma in Greek and Mathematics.
