Pauline de Kinderen

Predoctoral Researcher at Research Foundation Flanders - FWO

Pauline De Kinderen is currently a predoctoral researcher at Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek - Vlaanderen (FWO) since November 2022 and a PhD student at Universiteit Antwerpen since September 2020, focusing on the study and therapeutic targeting of ER stress in chondrodysplasia. Prior experience includes a master thesis internship at Universiteit Antwerpen, where a research project aimed at optimizing in vitro techniques for cultivating murine and human chondrocytes, osteoblasts, and osteoclasts was conducted from November 2019 to June 2020, under the supervision of Professor Bart Loeys, Josephina Meester, and Aline Verstraeten. Additionally, a bachelor thesis on studying senescence in primary neuronal cultures was completed in February 2018 with guidance from Professor Dr. Winnok De Vos. Educational qualifications comprise a postgraduate degree in Human Genetics from Interuniversity (Belgium)/Belgian Genetic Centers, a Master's degree in Biochemistry & Biotechnology with a specialization in Molecular and Cellular Gene Biotechnology, and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry & Biotechnology, all from the University of Antwerp.
