Pedro A. is currently a PhD candidate in strategic basic research at Research Foundation Flanders - FWO, having started in November 2024. Previously, Pedro served as a PhD candidate and R&D Engineer focused on gas fermentation at Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant from August 2022 to October 2024, where involvement included multiple EU-funded projects and the optimization of gas fermentation technologies. Prior to that, Pedro completed a Master thesis on Knallgas fermentation as a student intern, participated in additional internships focusing on gas fermentation and molecular biology, and worked as a cleaning assistant and waiter in various roles. Pedro holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioscience Engineering from Ghent University, a Master of Science in Engineering - Sustainable Biotechnology from Aalborg University, and a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
