Sara Santos is currently a PhD Fellow in Strategic Basic Research at Research Foundation Flanders, focusing on the modeling of MCM-41 single-atom catalysts since November 2021. Concurrently, Sara is pursuing a PhD in Chemical Engineering at Universiteit Gent, specializing in the computational design of single atom catalysts for CO2 conversion under the supervision of a professor. Previously, Sara held a research traineeship under another professor and served in various roles within the Board of European Students of Technology, including Vice President for Human Resources and Administration and Development Supervisor for the marketing committee. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Ghent University and an Integrated Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidade de Aveiro.
