Tom Vandekerckhove is an experienced researcher currently holding positions as an FWO Fellow and PhD Researcher at both Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek - Vlaanderen and Universiteit Gent, as well as at Université libre de Bruxelles since September 2020. Previously, Tom Vandekerckhove was an M.Eng. Researcher at Cornell University, where a research project on single-photon sources in 2D materials led to a publication in APL Photonics. Additional experiences include being a BAEF Fellow and Fulbright grantee, a Teaching Assistant at Universiteit Gent, and a Visiting Researcher at the University of Cambridge. Educational qualifications consist of a Master of Engineering from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Engineering Physics from Ghent University.
