Daniel Hampu

Daniel Hampu has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Daniel currently serves as the President and CEO of Burton D. Morgan Foundation, a position they have held since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Fontus Blue, where they held multiple roles including Vice President, Board Member, and Chief Operating Officer from December 2015 to February 2022. Daniel was responsible for developing corporate strategies, establishing goals, and implementing policies.

Daniel also worked at Hyr Medical, Inc. as a Brand Ambassador from July 2020. At Bounce Innovation Hub, they served as the Director of Investing and Startup Venture Capital Advisor from March 2022 to June 2022, and as the NEOSVF Program Manager from January 2020 to June 2022.

From 2014 to 2022, Daniel was involved with NEOSVF, where they held positions such as Executive Director, Vice President, Secretary, and Board Member. Daniel was responsible for generating deal flows, developing strategies, and managing board meetings. Additionally, Daniel has taught as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Mount Union from August 2015 to May 2020, and as an Assistant Lecturer at The University of Akron in January 2019.

Daniel also served as the Vice President and Secretary at Akron Innovation Campus from March 2016 to September 2018. At The University of Akron, Daniel worked as a New Ventures Manager from May 2014 to September 2018, where they provided assistance and consultation to start-up companies. Daniel also served as an I-Corps Sites Instructor/Administrator, developing curriculum and recruiting participants for the NSF I-Corps Sites program.

In 2016, Daniel participated in StartupBus as a buspreneur, where they developed a business model for a new product called DashPilot, a retrofit kit for detecting driver fatigue.

Daniel Hampu has a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Akron School of Law. Daniel also holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance from The University of Akron. In addition, they have a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, Marketing from the University of Mount Union. Daniel Hampu completed their high school education at Hawken School, earning a High School diploma. Daniel is also a member of the Ohio State Bar, having obtained this certification from the Supreme Court of Ohio in November 2015.
