Janet Kotsakis, SHRM-CP, has a diverse work experience spanning over a period of several years. Janet began their career in 1992 as a Programming Coordinator at WXTU-FM, Beasley Broadcast Group, where they coordinated station promotions and created direct marketing programs. From 1997 to 1999, they served as a Development Director and Executive Assistant at the Child Abuse Prevention Effort, where they developed marketing and public relations strategies and managed fundraising efforts.

In 1999, Janet joined Merck & Co., Inc., where they held multiple roles over the years. Janet served as an Administrative Assistant, Associate Scheduler, Educational Program Integration, Sample Accountability Analyst, and Coordinator, Office of Corporate Philanthropy. In these roles, they managed various responsibilities such as scheduling national programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and expanding volunteerism efforts globally.

In 2012, Janet worked as a Consultant at JaKo Consulting, LLC, before joining Crane Communications, Inc. the same year as a Director, Account Services. In this role, they managed marketing programs and implemented marketing events.

Most recently, Janet has been working at the Food Bank of South Jersey since 2015. Janet started as an Executive Assistant, collaborating extensively with the executive and leadership teams and the Board of Directors on various projects. Janet then transitioned to the role of Talent Management Administrator, followed by Human Resources Director. Currently, they hold the position of Chief People Officer.

Janet Kotsakis, SHRM-CP, holds a Master's degree in Professional Communication, which they obtained from La Salle University from 2003 to 2006. Janet also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Arcadia University, where they studied from 1988 to 1992.

Janet has further expanded their knowledge and skills through various certifications. In January 2020, they earned the SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM. Janet also obtained a CPI Certified Instructor certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute in August 2020. More recently, in May 2021, they completed the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate program offered by USF Corporate Training and Professional Education.
