Ashley Newell is a seasoned professional in program management and social equity, currently serving as the Director of Programs at Food Bank of the Rockies since November 2021, overseeing various hunger relief initiatives across 55 counties. Previous roles include co-founding FoodFlow ZA, where Ashley designed and implemented a rapid response food equity program during the COVID-19 pandemic, impacting over 300,000 individuals in South Africa. With extensive experience in capacity building and community development through various organizations, Ashley has contributed to numerous projects focused on accessibility in education, cultural responsiveness, and youth development. Ashley holds a Master of Philosophy with Distinction in Inclusive Innovation from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town and a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
