Niamh Howlin is an Associate Professor at UCD Sutherland School of Law since December 2018, with a strong background in legal education and history. As a Council Member of the Irish Legal History Society since 2009, Niamh promotes the study and dissemination of Irish legal history. Niamh served as Web Editor for UCD Law Review from 2012 to 2019 and has held various teaching roles at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, specializing in property law, criminal law, and legal history. Previous academic appointments include a Lecturer position at Queen's University Belfast from 2007 to 2012 and an Occasional Lecturer role at University College Dublin from 2005 to 2007. Niamh's educational qualifications include a BCL and PhD from University College Dublin and a PGCHET from Queen's University Belfast.
