Gail Hamaty-Bird

EVP & General Counsel at Food For The Poor

Gail Hamaty-Bird is Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Food For The Poor. She joined the charity in 2018, and is responsible for the organization’s legal matters.

Since 2011, Gail has been an associate at Minerley Fein P.A., in Boca Raton, with areas of practice including estate planning, probate and probate litigation, trust administration, guardianships, real estate transactions and title insurance agent, corporate, immigration and family law.

She began her career as a prosecutor in Jamaica and has gone on to practice in multiple areas of expertise.

Gail was born in Mandeville, Jamaica. She is a graduate of the University of Liverpool, Cayman Islands, and the Norman Manley School of Law in Kingston, Jamaica. She holds a Master of Laws Degree in Intercultural Human Rights, and a Juris Doctor Degree from the St. Thomas University School of Law. She is a member in good standing of the Florida Bar Association and also of the Jamaican Bar.

Gail lives in South Florida with her husband, Damian, and they have two children.
