Pawan Agarwal is a prominent thought leader and CEO of the Food Future Foundation, specializing in food system transformation through demand-side interventions to promote nutrition and sustainability. Currently advising on agro-ecology value chains for the International Fund for Agricultural Development, Pawan Agarwal has also served as a strategic consultant for PATH on rice fortification initiatives. Pawan Agarwal's extensive experience in the Indian Administrative Service includes roles as Special Secretary and Secretary in various government ministries, significantly impacting logistics, consumer affairs, and education policy. Previous positions include CEO of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, where Pawan Agarwal modernized the regulatory framework, and Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, where Pawan Agarwal was pivotal in establishing private sector engagement in skill development. Academically, Pawan Agarwal holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College and has pursued advanced studies at Harvard and Emory University.
