Erik Battle

Erik Battle has over 20 years of experience in various roles in the IT industry. Erik currently holds the position of VP, CIO, and CISO at FoodChain ID since March 2021. Prior to this, Erik worked at ACI Worldwide for nine years, starting as the Director of IT Systems Administration and later becoming the VP of Systems Engineering & Cybersecurity. During their time at ACI Worldwide, they led a team of over 50 cybersecurity engineers and analysts, successfully reducing vulnerabilities by 99% across a large data center and cloud environment. Erik also implemented several programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with federal and industry requirements while improving IT processes and productivity.

Before joining ACI Worldwide, Erik worked at S1 Corporation for over ten years, where they held positions such as Production Support Manager, Technical Manager, and Sys Admin Team Lead 2. Erik played a key role in establishing production support best practices and improving system support for hosted customers. Erik also worked on disaster recovery initiatives and problem management, contributing to reducing downtime incidents.

Erik started their career at IBM as a Unix Systems Administrator, where they handled server management and provided application support. Erik also gained experience at AT&T as a Senior Technical Associate, providing system and user support for a large platform.

These certifications were obtained from LinkedIn in 2021.
