Julia Arrington is currently the Vice President, People & Equity at FoodCorps, where Julia brings a wealth of experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Prior to this role, Julia served as the President of Reimagined Heritage Consulting, LLC, a firm dedicated to dismantling racist systems within organizations. Julia has a background in education and special education, having held roles such as Network Director and Assistant Principal at various schools. Julia also co-founded Parlae.org, a blog focusing on marginalized groups, and has interned at organizations such as the Middle East Institute and The Women's Library. Julia holds a Bachelor of Arts in German/Psychology, a Master of Arts in Arts and Heritage Management, and a Master of Arts in Education.

FoodCorps partners with schools and communities to nourish kids’ health, education, and sense of belonging so that every child, in every school, experiences the joy and power of food. Our AmeriCorps members serve alongside educators and school nutrition leaders to provide kids with nourishing meals, food education, and culturally affirming experiences with food that celebrate and nurture the whole child. Building on this direct service, FoodCorps advocates for policy change, grows networks, and develops leaders in service of every kid’s health and wellbeing. Our goal is that by 2030, every child will have access to food education and nourishing food in school.
