Julia Tedesco has a diverse work experience spanning several industries.
Julia started their career as an Intern at the Bridgeport Child Advocacy Coalition in 2004.
In 2005, they worked as an Editorial & Publicity Assistant at HarperCollins Publishers until April 2006.
From April 2006 to June 2007, they worked as a Publicist at Harry N. Abrams, Inc.
In 2007, they were a Research Fellow at Westside Community School Strategy from December 2007 to June 2008.
Julia joined Foodlink in January 2009 as a Program Planning & Public Policy Manager, and held this position until March 2010. During their time at Foodlink, they built and led the development department, raising over $2.6 million annually. Julia then took on the role of Chief Development Officer from March 2010 to August 2014, where they led Foodlink through a capital and capacity-building campaign. Finally, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Foodlink in August 2014, and their tenure is ongoing.
Julia Tedesco pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Peace & Justice Studies at Fairfield University from 2001 to 2005. Later, they attended Syracuse University - Maxwell School from 2007 to 2008, where they obtained their Masters of Public Administration degree with a focus on Social Policy and Health Policy & Administration.
