Diego Mejia has a diverse work experience in the field of food and hospitality. Diego started their career as a Head Cook at Celebrity Cruises, Inc. in 2012. Afterwards, they worked as a Brand Manager at Provenzal, where they co-founded the premium gastronomic store Alma Cuisine and handled product selection, purchasing, and staff training.
Diego then joined Indes s.a.s as a Marketing Director/K.A.M Industrial, where they directed a team of over 80 people, managed projects such as rebranding and product launches, and strategized marketing campaigns and brand activations. Diego successfully expanded the brand's reach into premium restaurant segments previously untapped by the company.
Following that, Diego worked as a City Manager at Leal, where they established and managed a regional office responsible for sales and customer service. Diego collaborated with the marketing team to create and execute commercial and communication strategies, which led to a significant increase in leads and new users.
Diego later joined Grupo Heme as a General Manager. Diego conceptualized and developed the restaurant El Nacional Barra y Comedor, designed menus, and optimized production costs while maintaining high-quality standards. Diego also implemented training programs for sales and service, resulting in a boost in average ticket sales.
Currently, Diego is employed at Foodology Inc as a City & Growth Manager, responsible for managing city operations and overseeing growth initiatives.
Diego Mejia attended Instituto Gato Dumas from 2007 to 2010 where they obtained a degree in Culinary Arts, specializing in gastronomic management. Following this, they pursued a degree in Marketing at Universidad de Palermo, completing it in the same year. Prior to their culinary education, Diego obtained a High School Diploma from Colegio Berchmans in 2004.
