Yien Li Yap

Yien Li Yap is an experienced professional specializing in sustainability and food systems, currently serving as the Director of Sustainability for APAC and EME at Food+ by Compass since February 2023. Previous roles include Sustainability Manager for OLIO and Country Lead at the same organization, along with positions at Winnow as Business Development Manager and Client Success Manager. Yien's background also includes consultancy for start-ups in food commercialization, experience in fine dining at Les Amis Restaurant, and project management at The Chain Reaction Project. Yien holds a Master of Science in Environmental Studies from the National University of Singapore and dual Bachelor's degrees in Media & Communications and Commerce from the University of Melbourne. Additional training in cuisine and patisserie was completed at Le Cordon Bleu London. Knowledge areas encompass food waste management, sustainable food practices, and food safety compliance.
