Joe White, cyberlocksmith(at)protonmail(dot)com, has a long and varied work experience in the field of information security. Joe began their career in 2000 as a Systems Architect, Network Security at NetReliance, Inc. In 2001, they moved to Charles Schwab & Co. as a Senior Tech, ISS Risk Management. In 2002, they became President of Cyberlocksmith Corporation. In 2004, they were hired as a Senior Systems Engineer & Security Officer at Navio Systems. In 2006, they became Senior Security Engineer at Walmart.com, where they were responsible for the day-to-day security of both the enterprise and web storefront. From 2007 to 2010, they were a Senior Paranoia Engineer/Security Architect at SAP SuccessFactors, where they were responsible for Web Application Security. In 2010, they moved to Blue Shield of California as a Lead Application Security Architect, where they built a successful Application Security program from the ground up and won the 2012 Veracode Game Changer Award. From 2013 to 2016, they were Director of Information Security & Security Architect at Credit Karma, where they built the core Information Security Program. In 2016, they became an Information Security Officer at Stanford University, consulting departments and project teams across the university and advising Business units on project risk and compliance regulations. Finally, in 2017, they became Chief Security Officer at Foodsmart.

Joe White attended UC San Diego from 1978 to 1983. Joe has also obtained two certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² and Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) from (ISC)².
