Pieter Kruger

Pieter Kruger has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a SAP ABAP and Finance Consultant at Sappi in 2008. Pieter later worked as a SAP ABAP Consultant at various companies such as Zurich Insurance Company Ltd, Johannesburg Water, and Rand Refinery Limited. Pieter also worked as a SAP ABAP and Integration Developer at Tsb Sugar (Pty) Ltd. and SAP ABAP Consultant at Macsteel.

In 2017, Pieter joined Foodstuffs North Island Limited as a SAP Integration and Data Architect, where they were responsible for solution architecture designs and integration designs for various projects. Pieter also worked as an Enterprise Integration Services Lead, leading a team of software engineers and overseeing system integration components.

Throughout their career, Pieter gained expertise in areas such as SAP PI, SAP Gateway, SAP ODATA, SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP CAR, SAP PMR, SAP SLT, SAP HANA, AWS Cloud applications, and microservices architecture. Pieter also has experience with Apache Kafka and Confluent Cloud.

Pieter's work experience shows their ability to lead teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and deliver solutions using agile methodologies. Pieter has mentored and upskilled junior developers and has been involved in ongoing maintenance and planning of solutions.

Pieter Kruger began their education at North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit from 2005 to 2007, pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Information Technology. Pieter continued their academic journey at the same institution from 2008 to 2010, completing an Honours Bachelor of Science (BSc HONS) with a focus on Computer Science and Information Systems.

In addition to their degrees, Pieter Kruger obtained several certifications. In March 2008, they received the SAP NetWeaver'04 – Application Development Focus ABAP certification from SAP. Later, in March 2013, they earned the SAP Certified Application Associate – Financial Accounting with SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4 certification, also from SAP. Most recently, in July 2022, Pieter obtained the New Zealand Certificate in Business (First Line Management) Level 4 from NZQA.
