Jeroen Willemsen is an experienced professional in the field of sustainable food systems and plant-based innovation. Currently serving as the Innovation Lead for Protein Shift at Foodvalley since April 2019, Willemsen has contributed significantly to the development of an international network promoting sustainable food practices. As the Founder and Spokesman of the Green Protein Alliance since May 2016, Willemsen accelerates the consumption of plant protein on a global scale. Additional roles include serving as a Business Consultant focused on vegetarian and plant-based solutions at Food for Impact, and previously founding Het Planeet, an organization dedicated to sustainable protein production. With a strong background in business development from positions at Ojah b.v., TOP b.v., and Wageningen UR, along with an MSc in Chemical Technology from the University of Twente, Willemsen combines scientific expertise with commercial acumen to drive innovation in the food industry.
