Amber Whiteley has extensive experience in football coaching, particularly at the professional and national levels. From December 2020 to June 2025, Whiteley served as the First Team Assistant Manager at Liverpool Football Club, also taking on temporary roles as Interim Head Coach and Interim First Team Manager. Currently, Whiteley is an Assistant Coach for the Women's National Team at the Football Association of Ireland since February 2025. Previous roles include being a FA Elite Coach Mentee with The Football Association and various coaching positions at Manchester United. Whiteley's foundational experience in football development was established at Northumbria University, where the individual worked as the Football Development Coordinator and Head of Women’s Football while also serving as the First Team Head Coach for women's football. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in International Sport Management and a Bachelor of Science from Northumbria University.
