Derek O'Neill

Derek O'Neill is a seasoned professional in football management with extensive experience at the Football Association of Ireland since January 2002. Currently serving as the League of Ireland Football & Social Responsibility Manager, O'Neill focuses on enhancing community engagement and developing long-term strategies for local clubs. Previous roles include managing the FAI-ETB Player Development Programme and leading innovative initiatives such as the "More than a Club" project and the award-winning Project FUTSAL. O'Neill also served as the National Futsal Coordinator and managed the National Men's Futsal Team, contributing significantly to the sport's strategic development in Ireland. O'Neill's educational background includes a Master of Science in Management from Dublin City University and UEFA coaching qualifications.
